What is AIS PREP?

AIS PREP is a free educational preparatory program for Native American youth provided by American Indian Services. Students will experience three summers of rigorous STEM instruction designed to prepare students for higher education.

 

The curriculum includes classes in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Hands-on projects, challenging homework, field trips, and daily career awareness lectures keep students engaged as they progress.

 

Our academically demanding STEM content has been proven to raise test scores and help students become ready to pursue advanced high school courses.

Curriculum

This curriculum is designed to help prepare and encourage young students to pursue academic degrees and professional careers in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Requirements to Apply

​Year 1 Application

​The AIS PREP Year 1 Application is open to current 6th-grade students. In order to be considered for this program please provide the following:

  • Current Report Card

  • Teacher Recommendation Letter

  • 100-150 Word Essay: Why do you want to attend AIS PREP?

​Year 2 & 3 Registration

​If you are a returning AIS PREP student, please register by clicking the button below. You will need to provide the following:

Attendance Policy: Students are allowed three absences before probable dismissal from the program. There are no exceptions. Please keep this in mind as you plan your summer vacations and other activities.
