A Word Of Thanks
Summer has ended, and with it another successful session of AIS PREP has closed. The students had an incredible time learning STEM subjects, attending field trips, gaining insights into STEM careers, creating life goals, and making like-minded friends.
One of the highlights this summer for the students who attended the Blanding campus was learning to use Zubi Flyers, a tech Frisbee that teaches students elements of engineering and code with hands on learning. The students got to see the effects of their engineering in real time as they used the toys to go outside and play games. Several of the students remarked at how fun it was and how grate- ful they were to the donors who made that experience possible. We were able to procure the Zubi Flyers due to a partnership with FuzePlay, the Frisbee’s manufacturer, and the Utah STEM Action Center who provided the funding for the toys. It’s because of support like this that we’re able to make a difference in the lives of these students.
We would like to say thank you to our longtime donors who have supported AIS through the years and make AIS PREP possible, as well as our newer donors who have joined our network of support. Specifically, Miller Family Philanthropy, the McCarthey Foundation, Zions Bank, the Honda Foundation, the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation, the Sorenson Foundation, the STEM Action Center, and the STEM A.C. Foundation. Because of you these students are having their worlds opened up and are seeing incredibly high levels of measurable improvement in their schooling.
